Man's Family posts reward in shooting

A reward of $10,000 is being offered for information about the Independence woman found dead in a cemetery in October.

Of the reward, $1,000 comes from the TIPS hot line at 474-TIPS (8477). The other $9,000 has come from the family of the slain woman`s boyfriend, Justin Bruton. He was found dead near De Soto, Kan., the day after the woman`s body was discovered. Police said he died of a self-inflicted gunshot.

The woman,Anastasia E. Witbolsfeugen was found shot in the head around 4 a.m. in the Lincoln Cemetery, just east of Independence in Blue Summit on Oct. 23.

According to police reports, Bruton called his girlfriend`s father on the night she died. He and Anastasia had argued and ruton threw her out of the car near Interstate 435 and Truman Road. Bruton told the father he went home as Anastasia had started walking home to North Delaware Street.
